About DMJBot - Personal AI Assistant

DMJBot - Personal AI Assistant stands for "Do My Job Bot" — a personal AI assistant built to actually do your work, not just answer questions while you watch.

The idea

Today's popular AI tools — ChatGPT, coding assistants and the rest — are powerful, but they are passive. They only work while you are sitting in front of your computer, asking them something. The moment you step away, they stop.

DMJBot is different. It is an event-based, proactive AI agent that runs 24/7. You give it instructions once, in plain language, and it acts on its own when something happens — an email arrives, a calendar event fires, a webhook is triggered, a message comes in. It works for you while you are sleeping, jogging, or playing tennis, because you have already told it how to handle the situations you care about.

You can simply tell it, in a chat:

"Monitor my email. If a message from my boss arrives with the subject urgent, reply 'I'm on it, will get back to you in 10 minutes', then send me a notification."
"I'm expecting an email from Kate with a report attached. When it arrives, save the attachment to my Dropbox Reports/ folder, reply with a polite thank-you, and let me know when it's done."

DMJBot remembers your instructions and acts when the event happens — no scripting, no fragile workflow builders, no orchestration platform to wire up by hand.

Why we founded it

The idea started with a simple question to a software engineer: "Can ChatGPT actually do your everyday work for you yet?" The answer was no. To get real automation you need an orchestrator — something that connects all your tools and reacts to events — and setting one up is complex and technical.

After many conversations, especially with developers, one thing became clear: a large part of office work can be automated with AI, but there is no assistant on the market that is at the same time simple to set up, secure, and genuinely easy to use. So we decided to build it.

What we are building

Free and self-hosted

DMJBot - Personal AI Assistant is currently offered free of charge. You run it yourself as a Docker container in your own environment, which means your data and credentials never leave your infrastructure. We do not run a paid hosted service at this time.

The team

DMJBot was founded by Kateryna Lysenko, a PhD in Psychology, whose background in human cognition, behavior and decision-making — combined with close collaboration with software engineers — shaped the vision: AI tools that work seamlessly on your behalf, while you stay in control.
